Lauren Laimon is a principal research associate with 24 years of clinical trials experience. Ms. Laimon developed engaging and informative content tailored to the interests and needs of the corporate audience, including updates on company initiatives, achievements, and upcoming events. Ms. Laimon coordinated visually appealing newsletters that align with corporate branding and standards. Ms. Laimon also coordinated with various departments and stakeholders to gather relevant information and ensure accurate representation of company activities and goals. Ms. Laimon managed Westat's work on a domestic COVID-19 study, a multi-center, double-blind, randomized controlled trial. She oversaw and coordinated day-to-day operations for participating U.S. sites, including regulatory, site monitoring, and safety activities.
She monitored timelines and deliverables, led client meetings, served as the primary contact for clients and sites, oversaw site activation activities, and provided consultation on all project deliverables, including protocols, safety monitoring plans, and case report forms. During the pandemic, Ms. Laimon was responsible for identifying suitable clinical trial sites and developing effective working relationships with clinical investigators and thought leaders, while quickly pivoting to the changing requirements of the pandemic.
She also provided consultation and input on site monitoring plans and reports, case report forms, safety management plans, Medidata systems, statistical analysis plans, study plans, Data Monitoring Committee activities, and all other project deliverables.

Ms. Laimon provided comprehensive program and logistical support for NIH program and contractor staff meetings, program investigator meetings, steering committee meetings (PATC³H awardees and NIH staff), protocol team meetings, and safety monitoring committee meetings. She tracked milestones and provided support, coordinated data and resource management, including harmonization of variables for future cross-project analyses, and managed regulatory support by collecting and approving essential regulatory documents from U.S. and international sites for protocol registration.
Ms. Laimon also coordinated monitoring support to ensure protocol compliance, protection of human subject rights and safety, and adherence to Good Clinical Practice guidelines and applicable regulations. She developed and maintained a website featuring program procedures, instructions, and a query notification system.
Additionally, she facilitated information exchange among program awardees through various listservs, workgroups, and discussion forums. In support of dissemination efforts, she participated in the development and tracking of all publications and presentations of findings.
