Leah Lawler

I’m Leah Lawler, a video editor with a passion for storytelling and innovation. I hold a Master’s in Media Studies from The New School and have worked on projects ranging from assistant editing on SNL to cutting-edge AI content at Stability AI. Currently freelancing, I’m seeking roles that merge editing with emerging tech.

My professional experience includes serving as an Assistant Editor at Saturday Night Live, editing promos and freelance projects for Tubi, Citizens Bank, New-Moon agency, and independent short films, and working as a Creative Specialist at Stability AI. I have also taught improv, collaborated on a web series, and most recently edited an hour long standup comedy special for Comedy Dynamics. Currently freelancing, I am seeking opportunities that combine my expertise in editing with emerging technologies, particularly AI.

I hold a Master’s in Media Studies from The New School, where I focused on the intersection of storytelling and technology. Additionally, I was the first student at George Washington University to have screenwriting classes count toward Playwriting requirements, showcasing my dedication to narrative craft, and received my BA in Theatre. I was also a member and president of receSs, GWU's premiere comedy group who had monthly shows featuring sketch, improv and videos.
