Ph.D. degree in materials science from Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul in 2016 with extensive experience in chemistry, chemical and materials synthesis, and spectroscopic methods.
Expertise in energy conversion and environmental remediation research, including reducing industrial pollution in the environment, new adsorbents and photocatalyst materials that reduce soil, air and water pollution and otherwise facilitating energy conversion and environmental remediation.
Research in synthesis and characterization of novel structured materials, methods for activating carbon-based materials from agricultural waste, water and air remediation, energy conversion and environmental remediation, as well as contaminants removal by photocatalysis and adsorption processes.
Strong background in chemistry, chemical and materials synthesis, and spectroscopic methods. As a Post-doctorate researcher, in the past 5 five years, I was responsible for teaching graduate courses, conducting research, supervising students, serving on committees, and collaborating with a team of researchers to develop new emerging technologies for wastewater decontamination and toxicological evaluation. Here, I had the opportunity to achieve practical communication skills and mutual connections with researchers worldwide.
My research focuses on methods for activating carbon-based materials from agricultural waste, studying carbon nanotubes-based adsorbents to remove dye from wastewater, and synthesis and characterization of photocatalytic materials using solar light for pharmaceuticals degradation. My original contributions of major significance to the field of materials science and environmental chemistry include 30 peer-reviewed articles published and at least 44 reviews among the highest-impact international Journals. Besides, my publications have been cited 1,328 times in other peer-reviewed journal articles according to Google ScholarMy strong background in chemistry, chemical and materials synthesis, and spectroscopic methods can contribute significantly to this position.
Expertise in reducing dyes, pharmaceutical by-products, and other toxic species from effluent, particularly those studies centered on methods for activating carbon-based materials from agricultural waste, studying carbon nanotubes-based adsorbents to remove dye from wastewater, and improving the performance of mesoporous niobium pentoxide solids. Synthesis and characterization of photocatalysts and adsorbent materials.
