The desire to enjoy my career and have the freedom to express myself drove me to Materials Science and Engineering as the entry point for my scientific curiosity. Having worked with a variety of individuals across the spectrum of the engineering world, first at the University of Tennessee, then at General Graphene, I have been exposed to a range of challenges and technologies not normally associated with those who enjoy the purity of the lab. I especially value my time designing and experimenting with Chemical Vapor Deposition, and tailoring the process for graphene synthesis at scale.
This experience in a fast-paced production environment has helped shape my ability to solve problems under pressure, and taught me valuable skills in working with a sometimes eccentric team. I enjoy a challenge, especially one that requires me to learn something new and offers the ability to experiment.
