I am a current student at California State University Fullerton in the process of receiving my Bachelor of Arts in History and a minor in Cinema & Television Arts
As someone who worked five years in the funeral industry, I understand the importance of handling classified documentation with care. The funeral industry taught me how to communicate with clients in person and over the phone, even with the most difficult conversations and phone calls to make.
As a college student with a background in both history and in film, I believe both subjects are intertwined. The preservation and retelling of history is very much a film. No matter how much we study history, we are only looking at parts of it and there is a lot more to uncover by observing history from the voices which are left in the shadows. Just like how rewatching a film can change the way you interpret it, so does revisiting historic events through a new lens of knowledge.
