Maher Dabbouseh is an experienced enrollment professional and entrepreneur, born, raised, and educated in Illinois. He has over 22 years of education leadership experience in the United States and overseas.
Over the years, Maher has helped universities (both small and large) develop robust, sustainable, and long-term global enrollment management plans. His efforts have resulted in profitability and growth for intuitions such as Robert Morris University, Northwestern Business College, University of Phoenix (Illinois campuses) and internationally, with American University of Kuwait.
He is an accomplished Enrollment Leader that has exceeded enrollment for institutions in domestic and international settings. He has developed strategies for online, international, undergraduate, and graduate enrollment. I will lead the implementation of best practices across the university, while involving all relevant academic departments and administrative units.
During Covid, while many institutions were hit hard financially, enrollment at American University of Kuwait grew by 3%. Maher utilized his online recruitment experience from University of Phoenix to help AUK develop a remote recruitment, online testing, academic advising, and student registration process within 3 weeks of covid closures.
Maher is an entrepreneur. During the housing market crash (2008-2010) , he found ways of acquiring foreclosed and bank owned homes in the State of Illinois, while living overseas in Kuwait. From 2010 to 2016, he was successfully able to acquire 9 properties with a total investment of $376,000. Today, these properties are valued at $1.55 million dollars. He is also Founder of an education company, Couch Tutors.
