I am a special education teacher for eight years now in Georgia, specializing in moderate intellectual disabilities for students with special needs. I have my B.A. in English and Secondary Education, M.Ed. in Special Education, and Ed.D. in Learning and Organizational Change. I love my job and hope to share my passion of special education with others!
I have been a special education teacher for eight years. I teach students with moderate intellectual disabilities who not only need accommodations with academics but also general life skills. I am also a mentor to new special education teachers, and a current member of my school’s PBIS committee for four years now.
I received my doctorate in Learning and Organizational Change from Baylor University. My dissertation was on the social influences of acculturation on newly arrived immigrant adolescents entering the U.S. school system, and how teachers, faculty, and administrators can better assist them.
