I am a post doctoral reaseracher working at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx, USA
Here my work is focused on analysing the single cell data (RNA/DNA) majorly to study somatic mutation burden in cell aging and Alzheimer's disease. Additional epigenetics including differential methylation changes and age is being analysed.
My professional career started as a senior research fellow (3 yrs) in an agricultural university, Meerut, India. Here my job was to analyse plant based NGS data analysis to find differential gene expression during plant development.
Later I joined as a PhD fellow scientist (Marie Curie Fellowship) in a multinational company named BioMérieux SA, France. Here my work was to analyse microbial NGS data for different microbial diseases including COVID-19 and to develope novel microbial characterization techniques using GWAS.
At present I am working as a postdoc at Albert Einstein College of Medicine to study Human genetics with an specific focus towards aging and age associated disorders including Alzheimer's.
I have done my graduation and PhD in bioinformatics with specialized focus on computer Aided drug designing for Alzheimer's, microbial genomics respectively.
Data analysis for Human genetics is my most relevant and advanced skill to analyze somatic mutation burden by utilizing a variety of bioinformatics tools like GATK, STAR, CELLRANGER, MUTECT, VARTRIX, ScCaller etc.
Mostly, I work on HPC environment using shell scripting, python, Rstudio, github and Conda.
