I want to be a PA because, over the years, I’ve become super passionate about medicine and the idea of giving people the care that suits them, not the care that people think they need. With this mindset, as well as my psych background, I will work to give my patients a voice. Rather than simply diagnosing them and treating their ailments, I want to help them maintain their dignity throughout the toughest time in their lives.
I have experience shadowing in an OR for 150 hours, interning at Piedmont Newton for a semester, and working as an EMT for a private ambulance company called Physicians Ambulance for 600 hours. I also have my CNA license.
I am a junior at Emory University. I’m majoring in psychology on the pre-PA track.
