I lead a team of about 15 employees to provide legal support to the workers compensation, unemployment, employment standards, and other divisions in KDOL. We represent KDOL in cases before the federal and state courts. I participate in policymaking for the agency.

The Council was a labor union representing about 22,000 members. (It has since merged with the Chicago Council.) I represented the Council in all legal matters, including contract negotiation, contract enforcement, arbitration, litigation, and political activities.
