In my career I've worn many hats, including automation specialist, compound manager, botanist, entomologist, molecular biologist, lab manager, and more. The common thread through all of them is that in an R&D or production lab huge amounts of data and material are generated and must be managed properly in order for the lab to operate efficiently. Over the course of my career I have become familiar with the full range of tools (both soft and hard) for creating a world class compound management group.
I have programmed most liquid handlers (Tecan, Hamilton, Beckman, and Agilent) and worked with TTP's compound management tools.
Sciences I built our compound management system from scratch. I would be humbled and honored to have the opportunity to do the same for another group.
25 years of research experience working in agricultural science and pharmaceutical discovery. The past 20 years have involved laboratory automation at all levels.
I am currently serving as a molecular biologist at Primordial Genetics. In addition to my bench skills I am our primary resource for automation tasks.
I earned a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Humboldt State University (Arcata, CA) in 1985.
Since them I've taken a number of professional development classes at UC San Diego
