DC based, UK born quantum information and theoretical solid state physics PhD and research scientist. Primary research focus include semiconducting spin qubits and measurement based quantum computing.
Currently working a post doctoral research in the group of Dr.
Tahan at the Laboratory for Physical Sciences (LPS), in the University of Maryland. Research focus on measurement based quantum computing methods with spin qubits and high temperature spin qubit control. Active member of the ‘LPS Qubit Collaboratory (LQC)’, a collaborative effort with quantum information groups at LPS.
Additional research responsibilities including providing theory support for experimental groups within the LQC, including STM defined quantum dots with the Butera group and topological materials with the Friedman group. Organiser of the junior scientist internal LQC seminar series as well as lectured on using IBM Quantum, as part of the Summer of Quantum summer school.
PhD Student at the University of Konstanz, Jul 2016 - Dec 2019, Konstanz, DE. Defended my thesis in condensed matter and quantum information theory group under Prof. Guido Burkard, Focusing on spin qubit implementations in two dimensional semiconductors as part of Marie Curie innovative training network (ITN) Spin-Nano for early stage researchers. Additional responsibilities included teaching and supervising integrated physics tutorials, specialist seminar courses and bachelors theses
