Currently a sophomore in mechanical engineering at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. I love working in a team environment with anything engineering and science-focused and getting my hands dirty learning how things work to drive improvement. Currently searching for a summer internship in the Norfolk area.

Experience

I am currently in the Human Powered Submarine Engineering design team.

Work in a team to design, build, and install integral maintenance and drive systems for the man-powered submarine
Currently leading a team to re-design specific systems
Virginia Tech-sponsored design team

I have worked a variety of job positions over the years which have taught me to communicate within a team, built my technical skills, and honed my soft skills.

I previously worked as a “Lube tech” at Jiffy Lube from January 2022 to April 2022. I worked in a high-speed team to perform general automobile maintenance. This taught me basic auto-mobile experience and gave me experience working in a team.

I previously worked at Dangerfield General Contracting from June 2019 - September 2021. I worked to assist in installing underground fiberglass pools. I gained experience in using hand tools, reading blueprints, upkeeping heavy machinery, plumbing, and navigating customer relations.

I previously worked as a Camp Counselor in the summer of 2023. I led and counseled groups of high school students through biblical and life matters. This helped to teach me how to lead others and effective communication.
