The goal of Meherbaa is to not only bring to light, the amazing designers that exist in India and give them a platform to be seen, but also offer everyday consumers the ability to view designs without being overwhelmed by hundreds, if not thousands, of designs online.

Prerna realized that there were thousands of Indian women like her across the world, so she created Meherbaa.

Meherbaa was created by Prerna Gupta and Rishi Narahari in 2023 as an outlet for boutique designers in India to gain brand recognition internationally. Prerna and Rishi met each other in 2021 at Babson College while studying for their Masters degree. Over the next two years, Prerna, who was a first time resident of the United States, realized that there was no good outlet to buy quality Indian wear, whether it be lehengas, saris, or even partywear.
