Melissa Sarver

My name is Melissa Sarver, and I am 34 years old with over five years of experience in the MUROC Unified School District. I currently work as an instructional aide in a resource classroom, where I support students with diverse learning needs. I have also served as a one-on-one aide, a clerk typist, and a campus aide, gaining a well-rounded understanding of school operations.

As a mother of three teenagers, I bring a unique perspective and a strong sense of empathy to my work, which helps me connect with students and foster a supportive learning environment.

As a teacher's assistant in a special education resource room, I am skilled in providing individualized support to students with diverse learning needs. I am adept at implementing instructional strategies that accommodate different learning styles and help students grasp challenging concepts. I have experience in maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment, where every student feels safe, valued, and motivated to learn.

I am currently working towards my teaching credentials and am seven classes away from earning my Associate of Arts (AA) degree. My ongoing education has strengthened my understanding of effective teaching practices, classroom management, and student engagement strategies. As I work towards completing my degree and credentials, I am gaining valuable insights and skills that I apply daily in my role as a teacher's assistant, enhancing my ability to support students effectively.
