I decided to return to school a few years ago because I want to work in the mental health and wellness field. I recently graduated with a Bachelor of Arts psychology and I will enter graduate school this fall at Pacifica Graduate Institute’s masters in counseling psychology program. The program offers a flexible hybrid schedule, requiring only one Friday, Saturday, and Sunday a month.
I am looking for an opportunity to work in a field that helps people improve their lives and helps me expand my knowledge towards my educational goals. I have personally witnessed the transformative possibilities people suffering from addiction and/or mental health challenges are capable of. For the past five years I have volunteered to work with youth who are incarcerated, the focus of which is helping them with substance abuse and life choices.
I have raised two children who are now adults, 18 and 20. These experiences are a great part of what has inspired me to begin a new career journey in my life.
I am looking for full time work and am interested in any job available that relates to substance abuse and/or mental health and wellness. If you have any questions or need any more information, please call me.
