I am a community-oriented educational analyst, educator, and historian. I study, analyze, and engage in effective teaching practices, especially those for political education. I have a deep allegiance to teaching towards social justice issues. I strive to help others understand their teaching practices and locate room for improvement. I have taught various courses on history and critical media literacy. I have worked as the educational coordinator of a local community library in LA while working on the Doctorate in Education.
Spent the better part of the last decade as a teaching assistant at UCLA.
I taught undergraduate courses in media literacy and digital literacy as I worked on my dissertation in the history of education and pedagogy.
I have had various jobs, most recently I have worked as the education coordinator in a local free library in los Angeles. I developed teach-ins and produced learning tools for local and national facilitators. Interviewed scholars and local organizers about fiction and non-fiction texts. Facilitated and taught free community lessons on critical media literacy, critical literacy, Black history, educational history, and political economy, and colonialism
