Tennis Coach; McDonogh School; Western Maryland College (McDaniel); George Mason University; Nova Southeastern University
Presently retired, but continue to attend and follow tennis events.I do miss educating and coaching student athletes in tennis.
I do hold a Doctorate of Science in Physical Therapy and had many experiences including a Private Practice. I had to relinquish my practice 1997 and was able to fall back into coaching tennis, since I had been a member of the Professional Tennis Registry since the 80’s.
As noted I coached College women’s tennis for 15 years, after completing a successful physical therapy practice.
At Nova Southeastern in Ft Lauderdale, I initiated their NCAA DII program. After NSU I coached the middle and high school programs at the University School, a private school on the NSU campus. I have always enjoyed coaching student athletes to reach their potential on the court and in the classroom.
After high school, I joined the Army. Following that I attend the University of Maryland and graduated from the School of Medicine with a degree in Physical Therapy. Over the years I specialised in sports medicine, general structural therapy and cancer.
I returned to U of MD and received my DScPT. My reason for changing professions was a diagnosis of Miltiple Sclerosis which made safe hands on techniques impossible. I am fortunate enough to be functional in my daily activities including coaching.
