Hello, my name is Michael Gresser. I am an aspiring writing teacher who moved to San Antonio in the summer of 2022. I recently completed my undergraduate degree in Sustainability Studies at the University of Texas at Austin with a minor in Sports Media. While I continue to have a love for sustainability, I discovered in my later college years that my true passion resides in writing. To delve further into this passion, I began writing for Longhorns Country FN, a Sports Illustrated affiiate. I went on to create my own website, where I continued to write about Texas athletics. However, I was unable to grow the website enough for it to become my full-time job. After substitute teaching for a while, I believe the next step in my professional career is to teach the next generation about the art of writing.
My strengths include writing, journalism, classroom management, leadership, and communication.
I am currently a substitute teacher in the San Antonio Independent School District. Prior this this, I was the founder and lead editor for my own Texas athletics news website known as All Things Longhorns. Before I founded my own website, I was a writer for Longhorns Country FN. Longhorns Country FN is the Texas Longhorns affiliate website for Sports Illustrated. For most of 2022, I was an intern in the Office of Energy Management at the San Antonio Water System.
In the summer of 2022, I received my bachelors degree in Sustainability Studies at the University of Texas at Austin. I also minored in Sports Media.
