Michael Spinks

Hello! My name is Michael Spinks, and I am a highly motivated self-taught developer based in San Diego, CA. With 4 years of experience under my belt, I am seeking a position as a front-end, back-end, or full-stack developer. My objective is to contribute to the development of successful SAAS projects while continuously growing and learning.

I possess a diverse range of skills and expertise in various programming languages, including HTML, CSS3, JavaScript, TypeScript, Go, PHP, and Bash. Additionally, I am proficient in working with frameworks such as Vue 3, React, Svelte, Nuxt 3, Alpine JS, and SvelteKit.

In terms of cloud infrastructure, I am well-versed in utilizing Cloudflare for tasks such as deploying to Pages, utilizing Edge Workers, CDN configuration, and implementing security features. I also have experience working with Linux (Debian), including configuring reverse proxy via Nginx, command-line proficiency, package management (apt, yum), file system management and permissions, as well as scheduling and managing Cron Jobs.

Before my career as a developer, I served in the U.S. Navy, where I underwent Basic Underwater Demolition/SEALs Training (BUDs) and worked as a Boatswain Mate (BM). These experiences instilled in me resilience, discipline, adaptability, teamwork abilities, and the capability to operate effectively in high-stress and dynamic environments.

I've handled everything from small features to complete redesigns.

I am completely self-taught. I possess the passion and curiosity to always identify and get to the root of any problem that may arise.
