I am an Instructional Coach and learning specialist. My passion is supporting teams of people to achieve goals related to learning in any environment.
For the past 4 years, I have served as an Instructional Coach supporting teachers as they develop their professional practice. This includes working with teams to improve pedagogical practice. It also includes analyzing data to inform our planning and implementing staff training. A central tenet of my professional responsibility is building professional relationships based on trust and shared goals. Previous to this, I spent 16 years as a classroom teacher. My assignments ranged from elementary school to high school, with 12 of those years spent as a physics, engineering and mathematics teacher. During this time, I spent 7 years as a Lecturer at the University level teaching science pedagogy classes and undergraduate courses for STEM majors interested in education. For the past 5 years, I have taught summer classes for students and teachers interested in teaching symbolic logic through Stanford University.
I have a Bachelor of Science in Physics and a Master of Arts in Education with a specialty in Educational Technology. I also have extensive graduate coursework in physics, sociology and education with an emphasis in discourse and its relationship to learning.
