Most of my career has been in a customer service setting and I have become very proficient at problem solving to give the best results for our customers. Now that my family is less dependent on me at home, I am excited to move into tech, an industry that has always felt like where I would be most at home.
My experience with TripleTen began with learning different types of testing – functional and non-functional, exploratory, positive and negative, regression. Once I had a good grasp on different testing methodologies, I developed a solid foundation for creating proper bug reports. I became proficient at using JIRA to write and track bug reports and used my skills to test a transportation application.
After learning about test design and documentation creation, I began to work with Client-Server architecture and testing of backend API’s. At this point I was very confident in my skills as a manual tester. I went on to learn the use of SQL for database testing, Android Studio emulation for mobile testing, and eventually tools for automation testing like Javascript, Node.js, and WebdriverIO.
This was my favorite part of my experience so far because designing code to run many test cases in a matter of a few seconds was challenging and exciting, it felt like a testament to all of the work I have put in to developing my skills in the field.
