· Train and mentor several associates to lead/supervisor level
· Develop strategies to improve department metrics and performance.
· Evaluate the performance of assigned employees (18), delivering positive and/or negative feedback, and addressing concerns.
· Participate in strategic planning and goal-setting for various business functions
· Manages daily activities of drivers such as performance, dispatching pickups, and deliveries
· Coordinates with full-time supervisor on problem-solving issues on road.
· Collaborates with peers to maintain commit times for UPS store pickups, as well as deliveries.
· Perform general office tasks such as paperwork, typing, and/or use of a computer
· Utilizes Microsoft Office to create reports indicating driver procedures for manager
· Verify and correct timecards with consideration of DOT limitations (GTS)
· Provides excellent and friendly customer service skills
