For the last several years, I’ve been working for rotoscope studio Minnow Mountain, producing animation for the Amazon Prime series Undone and the most recent Richard Linklater film, Apollo 10 ½. I started and ran a new department known as the Performance Capture Laboratory. The purpose of the team I led was to continuously research new technology and practices to implement into the animation pipeline that would increase overall efficiency and production value.
I’m very happy to say our work led to a vast improvement in overall production quality and the work/life balance of the entire animation team. Apart from that, I have experience seeing live-action and animated videos through all steps of production and have held titles, including marketing director, video producer, animator, editor, and visual effects supervisor and artist.
In short, I’m enthusiastic, experienced, knowledgeable, and I produce quality work with a quick turnaround. I work well independently, leading a team, or as a team member. I am well-versed in many software platforms, and my entire career has been centered around creative problem-solving and figuring out how to get the job done no matter what.
As a freelance video producer and animator, I perform video services for a wide array of clients, including animation (2D, 3D, motion graphics), editing, shooting video, visual effects cleanup and production, acting as Visual FX supervisor, and the list goes on.
Previously, I researched and developed new and atypical practices to make the rotoscope animation pipeline more efficient for the Rotoscope studio, Minnow Mountain. During production, my responsibilities included character animation, managing/supervising my team's assignments and schedules, technical quality control checks on every shot featuring character animation in the film, and held regular meetings with superiors for prioritization, status updates, and adjustment of approaches to meet deadlines when necessary.
