- Facilitated analysis of oxyhemoglobin’s ability to bind to nitric oxide from plasma samples. The samples were obtained from 200patients during cardiac surgery (on pump procedures). GE’s Sievers 280i Nitric Oxide Analyzer was used for analysis.

- Facilitated blood sampling following surgery via A-line or venipuncture at regularly scheduled times up to 48 hours post-operative. Ensured blood samples were centrifuged and stored per study protocol specifications.
