Hello there! My name is Nick. The past six years of my life have been spent in the Film & TV machine here in NYC. I was assisting all kinds of folks, from up-and- coming indie producers, to experienced greats like Academy Award winner Charlie Kaufman.
My stint in the industry was fun, and I learned a lot shadowing these professionals. But watching other people make things made me miss making things myself. So, I have elected to exit the industry and create a small business out of my passion for photography.
My experience assisting VIPs in film gave me a lot of practice in the soft skills associated with customer service. I learned how to read the room, read a person, anticipate needs, and overall, just make people feel comfortable. I learned how to extend my heart into an honest and personable demeanor to help folks feel at ease so they could do their jobs to the best of their ability.
Listening closely and communicating with other departments was also an important skillset I honed during this time.
I graduated from NYU's Film and TV program in 2017. Here I acquired a foundational understanding of the photographic medium - both still images and moving.
