My passion for technology for social good drives me and defines my career path. I am currently working on an MS in Cybersecurity from NYU as a Cyber Fellow, and I am especially passionate about security in transit and energy sectors with a focus on sustainability and green technology. I received a BA in Environmental and Urban Studies from the University of Chicago in 2020, with minors in Computer Science and Creative Writing.
Prior to starting my graduate degree, I was a Technical Solutions Engineer at Epic, working with hospitals and healthcare providers to solve their technical problems and ultimately help make their healthcare successful.
During my tenure as a Technical Services Engineer at Epic, I honed my technical problem-solving skills and collaborated with IT analysts from five hospitals, optimizing software performance and ensuring data protection. My ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and work in a mission-based environment demonstrates my commitment to delivering impactful results.
As a current Cybersecurity Master's student at NYU Tandon, I have gained a comprehensive understanding of computer networking, network security, application security, penetration testing, and incident response. My coursework, including classes in Information Security & Privacy, Network Security, and Digital Forensics, has equipped me with the knowledge needed to excel in a dynamic cybersecurity role. Additionally, my unique background, which includes a Bachelor's degree in Environmental and Urban Studies alongside a minor in Computer Science, provides me with a diverse perspective that I believe will be valuable in fostering a culture of inclusion within a cybersecurity team.
