Nicole Marchese

I am a passionate lifelong learner dedicated to devoting myself to teaching English to learners of all languages, levels, and backgrounds. I strive to create a comfortable learning environment in which making mistakes is not frowned upon, but rather used as an opportunity for positive learning. I love making new connections and creating meaningful learning environments that are student-centered and fun!

I am a teacher that is always willing to make academic accommodations and adaptations to suit each students’ needs. I will do everything I can to make sure my students are accommodated in any way they need to create the best learning environment suitable for each individual student.

I have a range of educational experience including teaching standalone ESL as well as ESL within various subjects such as Math, Social Studies, and English Language Arts. I have taught at the elementary, secondary, college, and adult levels.

I am currently working at an adult English Language School in Manhattan. This job has truly changed my life. I have made various global connections and lifelong relationships. Our school works with students from all over the world ranging from 18 year olds - 70+ year olds.

I have gained a tremendous amount of cultural, global, and linguistic knowledge. My cultural lenses have widened even further than I could have imagined and I am so incredibly grateful for it. I am extremely interested in other cultures and languages and this job gave me the opportunity to explore a plethora of them!

Not only have I had the pleasure of teaching students from all over the world, but I have also gained administrative intelligence through this experience. I assist with providing information for prospective students and provide support to the school director. I also have had the opportunity to create the student activities calendars, which I create weekly, as well as managing the social media account.

I have gained incredible knowledge and priceless experience from this job and I am so excited to bring these newfound skills into my next journey.
