Goal-oriented individual dedicated to meeting team performance objectives and achieving set targets. Offering years of extensive teaching experience in different industries. Committed individual well-versed in providing thorough training, setting team goals, and developing innovative strategies. Superb oral and written communication skills paired with excellent time management and leadership abilities.
Over the past 4 years, I have been working as an ESL teacher online to international students where first language is not English. I delivered classes with materials and designated homework and tests. Created individualized plans for students with special needs (e.g., learning disabilities). Collaborated with educational faculty to publicize a positive learning experience for students. Mete out progress reports on students taught on a weekly basis.
As part of my practicum, I founded a reading club at Innswood high school to address students' literacy needs. As a resource and technology teacher, I taught grades 7 and 10 in Food and Nutrition and Clothing and Textiles. To encourage secondary students to make informed decisions, I conducted workshops on HFLE.
My contribution to the education system was recognized with an Appreciation Certificate. In collaboration with academic staff, we developed instructional strategies, materials, and instruments. By conducting more group discussions, we increased the number of students who could read comprehensibly.
Moreover, we increased the number of students who enjoyed discovering what they were learning through fieldwork and real-world assignments. Technology-based learning became more popular which decreased the use of standardized teaching aids.
I studied at Mico University College for a Bachelor’s Degree in Education in Family and Consumer Science which allows for a comprehensive body of knowledge to help people make informed decisions about well-being and relationships. It provides career paths as a Family and Consumer Science teacher, Consumer consultant, designer, buyer, marketer or quality controller of consumer and food products, product developer, quality controller, consultant, or researcher in the food industry.
