I am a Registered Nurse, with a BSN. I moved to Coeur d Alene, ID in 2022 and I feel very blessed to be here. I have family here and would have loved to move earlier, but needed to wait for my husband to retire from his career as a Superintendent of Christian Schools.
Upon arrival in CDA I applied for an Idaho nursing license, but didn't immediately seek employment due to caring for an ill family member. I am a mother of 3 grown children and grandmother of 3 young children, one of which has special needs. I now have the ability to return to work and would love the opportunity to work as a school nurse.
My most recent job was working as a patient care coordinator for Loma Linda Children's Specialties. There I worked in pediatric cardiology and neurology. I am passionate about patient care and meeting each individuals needs.
I have excellent communication skills and was often asked to take the calls from angry, frustrated parents that needed resolution. I am patient and a good listener that strives for conflict resolution. I truly care for people.
Before becoming a nurse I worked as an administrative assistant in several medical offices from 1991 to 2008. In 2011 I started my nursing career with Simi Valley Adventist Hospital, where I worked primarily in the ICU, but floated to other departments as needed (due to patient and staff census) until 2016. At the same hospital I also worked as a Case manager from 2016 until 2019.
I have also worked in pediatric specialties (cardiology and neurology) at Loma Linda University Hospital, from 2021 to 2022.
I attended Pacific Union College in Angwin, Ca from 2008 to 2011, this is where I received my RN degree. I graduated cum laude with a 3.74 GPA and made the Deans list.
I attended Capella University remotely from July 2020 to March 2021. It is here that I went from RN to BSN on their flex path program.
