Currently, I am undertaking master’s in environmental engineering at the Missouri University Science and technology, Rolla, (2018 until 2020). The title of my research is on the impact of nitrogen and phosphorus intake by plant algae and their leaching/transportation from animal faeces into the watershed of the lake Ozark, Missouri. During this summer (2019), I had an experience in horticulture and landscape services at the Missouri University of Science and Technology, Rolla.
My PhD. degree is in Agricultural Engineering, (June 2013). This involves the experimentations and investigations of soil, hydrology, management, and water use efficiency on crop yield from the Farmland Irrigation Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Beijing, China (CAAS). I also served as a research fellow, experimenting the effects of different irrigation methods on summer maize at the CAAS.
I had master’s degree (M.Sc.) in Agricultural Economics, (September 2009) from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. My master’s degree project is on effect of government policy on irrigated rice production in Nigeria. During the time span, I also, served as a consultant in the monitoring, supervising, and evaluating of cowpea production project in the Gene Bank at R4d department, social science building, (IITA) Ibadan, Nigeria.
Prior to my master’s degree, I had a bachelor’s degree (B. Tech) in Agricultural Economics and Extension from the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomosho, Nigeria (October 2005). In my undergraduate research project, I carried out a research on agricultural risks and technical efficiency of cassava farmers in Oyo State, Nigeria.
After my PhD, I served as a consultant at the Harvest Plus in IITA, Ibadan, Nigeria on different methods of planting vitamin A Cassava and Maize in 2016 to 2017. I have a wealth of experience in agricultural research and environmental development gathered over seven years while I served in various capacities in most of the organization I worked. In addition, I coordinated communities in both Abia and Delta States for projects carried out by the cassava project program in IITA, Onne, Portharcourt, Nigeria, where I also served as a field consultant after my National Youth Service Corp (NYSC - 2007).
Mostly, my interest in agricultural science projects started during my industrial attachment trainee with the Social Science Unit Research for Development (R4D) of International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA). During the period, I served in the capacity of a community development agent where I worked with farmers at Ilero and Idi-Ayin in Oyo State (2004).
●Completed field work, field trip and participated in water engineering and sustainable agriculture while monitoring and evaluating project ● Measured and report the condition of pollution in various environments.
