Proven ability to manage complex product structures, workflows, BOMs, engineering changes (ECR/ECN), and design releases throughout the product lifecycle.

Experience

Thermal Group - Product Data Management - Scout Motors - MI

(2023-10)

Also working as a DRE for additional responsibility of HVAC component Air Intake duct, HVAC module.

  • Analyze system part numbers, support BOM creation, configuration management and release process.
  • Analyze data usage, system behavior and downstream impacts to identify process improvement.
  • Support digitalization projects and contribute to the transformation towards model based and data centralized engineering.
  • Drive simplification of PDM and engineering data management.
  • Ensure proper data flow across development stages from concept to series production.

Interior - DRE - Toyota Motors North America

(2022-06 - 2023-10)

Developed various IP components, including the defroster garnish, multimedia parts, meter, filler piece, tray, and HVAC ducts. This process included benchmarking, conceptual design, feasibility studies, master sections, stack-up analysis, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). Integrated the HVAC system, designed the A/C duct and louvres, conducted airflow studies, assessed cooling efficiency, and ensured the proper packaging of the electric wire harness and attachments while adhering to IP requirements.

Exterior - DRE - Honda North America - OH

(2021-08 - 2022-06)

Led the development of various exterior components, including the D pillar, T/G arch, mirror garnish, spoiler, wiper system (which involved visibility studies), washer tank system, windshield, fenders, and mudguard. Focus was on enhancing manufacturing feasibility, ensuring cost-effectiveness, incorporating new technologies, benchmarking against competitors, and conducting comprehensive feasibility studies.

  • Created and maintained the Bill of Materials, Design Failure Mode and Effects Analyses (DFMEAs), Design Verification Plans and Reports (DVP&Rs), and issue lists.

Product Development Engineer - Hannon Systems - MI

(2019-07 - 2021-08)

HVAC manufactures electrified power train vehicles, development of cooling module's product consists of a radiator, Condenser, fan, and shroud, which are integrated to reduce weight, cost, and time. Responsible for HVAC hardware BOM & ECM.

  • Technical evaluation events were essential for providing early feasibility assessments for multiple parts. These events included generating design layouts, DCS (Digital Command and Control Systems), SCR (Supplier Change Request), TE (Technical Evaluation) layouts, part scheduling, BOM generation and evaluation of hardware to release.

BIW Engineer - Autocar Truck - Alabama, USA

(2017-10 - 2019-06)

Responsible for the instrument panel and console, ensuring their proper attachment to the cross-car beam and brackets. Designed the AC duct and louvres. Developed new product concepts based on benchmarking and packaging analysis.

  • Designed various clipping and attachment schemes, which included discontinuous annular snap clips, rib clips, doghouses, and bosses for screw fasteners.
  • Created BOM for Under hood components, exterior parts, benchmark with suppliers, generate Part information.

Interior Design Engineer - General Motors - MI

(2016-05 - 2017-10)

Worked on the roof liner as well as the A, B, and C pillars. Responsibilities included defining the attachment scheme, locator pins, and the housing for the tether clip related to the airbag position. Managed the overhead console, which involved packaging the electrical harness, developing the adhesive application process in collaboration with Body in White (BIW) operations, and detailing and releasing components in NX-Teamcenter.

VAVE Engineer - ZF-TRW - MI

(2014-01 - 2016-05)

Responsible for the North America Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) activities. On a daily basis, documented and tracked various phases, including feasibility, estimation, cost validation, function validation, implementation, and the creation of standard operating procedures (SOPs). Provided weekly reports on these activities to global manager. Successfully saved $3.2 million in air resistors and door panel pressure relief valves through ideas generated in various workshops.

  • Workshops included both internal and external sessions, as well as workshops with customers and suppliers, design changes, resource optimization, dual sourcing, outsourcing, and scrap-saving initiatives.

Sr. Lead Engineer - Manindra Navistar Trucks

(2003-08 - 2013-12)

Participated in the product development of various components, including door closers, grills, bezels, central consoles, substrates, and panels. Created master sections to enhance the attachment scheme and assembly process, addressed GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) issues, and produced drawings, layouts, and Bills of Materials (BOMs). Worked onsite with Navistar-USA to develop Team Center, BOM, and the release process for offshore projects.

  • A-Class surface development, B-side generation, and reinforcing attachment schemes by incorporating features for the A, B, and C pillars, as well as close-out panels, scuff plates, kick plates, and door trims.
