I am a University of Kansas graduate, a Ronald E. McNair Scholar, and a rising historian. My work experience involves volunteer, customer service, research, and education. I have a strong desire to foster learning in myself and others.
During my graduate education, I worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant. My duties were grading assignments, proctoring exams, tracking attendance and participation, holding office hours, and maintaining a professional yet approachable atmosphere with students. I have public history experience from working at the Oxford Schoolhouse in Leawood, KS, where I taught elementary school-aged summer camps.
I previously worked as a Desk Assistant with KU Housing. I have experience with customer service and office management from my job. I have worked for the Gardner News newspaper in Gardner, KS. I also have volunteer experience that includes working with the public and following regulations.
I have experience answering questions from my volunteer work with Mahaffie Stagecoach Stop. I worked with the public and gave house tours. I have volunteered at Old Shawnee Town as a researcher, sorting primary sources.
I also worked with Olathe Medical Center for three years. I had to familiarize myself with their policies and HIPPA laws.
Recently, I graduated from the University of Kansas' Accelerated Masters Program in May of 2023 with a 4.0 GPA.
