Responsible for patrolling the premises of the LAPD Training Academy grounds. Ensure grounds are safe and that the academy is opened on time for operating hours. Ensuring all visitors on property are properly identified and welcomed in. Observing surveillance when not completing in person rounds. Excellent in communication with other guards during shift to ensure the safety of others and the property.

Responsible for being the first to greet clients/visitors, ensuring all are welcomed into a friendly environment. Upon arrival, all contraband items are confiscated from clients/visitors and are safely stored in a locked safe. Proficient in metal detector wanding all guests thoroughly to ensure a safe waiting area.

Responsible for assisting floor nurses with admissions, completing detailed reports and paperwork for each client. Proficient in deescalation techniques, as well as proper physical restraints as necessary.
