I have a passion for being a well rounded and versatile problem solver that can quickly learn and dive deeper into specific skills and knowledge as needed for the tasks at hand. I'm always eager to learn, always eager to teach, and striving to be a jack of all trades AND a master of some.
I have 12 years of experience in industrial manufacturing from machine operation and troubleshooting, to being a lead trainer reducing labor costs by 45% by reducing machine operators per machine from 2 to 1 by raising their proficiency, to managing the factory’s training program overall including on-boarding, training, testing, certification, advancement, and training subordinate trainers. I have led training classes of the following varieties: new employee safety orientation, forklift safety and operation, quality defect recognition and standard operating procedures, machine operation and troubleshooting. In addition to leading our continual improvement team of 18 wonderful and dedicated trainers and support staff, I wore hats covering categories such as process engineering, digital automation, MicroSoft PowerApps development and troubleshooting, and SharePoint Site Collection Administrator.
I have a mechatronics engineering degree from Middle Tennessee State University. Mechatronics is a combination engineering degree that covers mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, controls engineering, CAD design, and project management to culminate in an engineer ideal for leading or being a liaison between different engineering disciplines on a cross-functional team. During my time at MTSU, I participated in the Experimental Vehicle Program on teams Baja SAE offroad vehicle and Lunar Rover. My final year at MTSU, I had the privilege of leading a senior design capstone project team comprised of some of the most brilliant and hardworking people I know. Our final product, the Titan 2 Safety Submersible Drone, won 1st place at MTSU's MechTech engineering competition, competing amongst 80-90 project submissions.
