Lead Speech-language Pathologist, 2008 – present

Dynamic Therapy Center

In this position, I am an Integral part of multidisciplinary staff of 48. I provide direct service as well as supervision of 19 Speech-language pathologists. Since coming to DTC, I supervised 6 CYFs and multiple graduate clinicians. In addition, I implemented site clinical program for NYU, MTSU, Faulkner, and Emerson University graduate clinicians. I developed and lead a Preschool Program for early intervention, serving an average of 30 children weekly with a multidisciplinary team of STs, OTs, PTs, and rehabilitation technicians. I served as Lead Autism Assessment Team and the Co-lead for our Sensory Behavioral Feeding Program. I used my photography and graphic design skills to co-manage and author social media posts (Facebook, Instagram, webpage) for clinic.

Education

I graduated in 1988 from the University of Alabama with a M.S. in Communication Sciences and Disorders, with high honors. My B.S. degree is from the University of Montevallo, also with high honors in 1986.

In addition, I have maintained national certification as well as state licensure consecutively. As part of my certification maintenance, I have achieved over 300 hours of advanced studies in areas of specific interst to include: Autism, Sensory Behavioral Feeding therapy and Sensory Integration, Apraxia, Early Intervetion and Development.
