I am rising senior, double major; chemistry & chemical engineering at Tuskegee University.
I am a recipient of prestigious Tuskegee Transfer Scholarship. My current concentration is Chemical Engineering and Chemistry while minoring in Material Science. During the summer 2016, I was selected as one of nine participating in Sustainable Polymers (CSP) Summer Undergraduate Research Fellows at the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities.
My research project “Biosynthesis of novel monomers” aimed in metabolic engineering. During the summer 2017, I was selected as one of twenty participants to conduct research in MRSEC (Material Research Science and Engineering Center) at University of Minnesota. My research project “Nanotoxicity evaluation of doped silicon nanocrystals” focused on nanotoxicology.
During the summer 2019, I was selected as one of nine students to do research at the Illinois Institute of Technology/Institute of Food Safety and Health partnered with Food and Drug Administration. My research project “Predicting the relationship between water activity and moisture content at elevated temperatures” centered on predictive modeling/statistical thermodynamics & food safety. Upon transferring from Miami Dade College, I was invited to become a member of Phi Theta Kappa National Honor Society for my superior academic achievement.
In addition to this repertoire of achievement, my long term career goal is to be appointed Secretary of Energy.
