I have just gotten my B.A in Early Childhood Development, focusing on equity and developmentally appropriate practice. I’m currently working as an admin clerk, but would like to gain experience working with children. I am passionate about creating equitable, positive, and safe learning environments for all children and families.
During my senior year of college, I have completed clinical hours at an infant/toddler program and preschool, where I developed and implemented lesson plans. I gained experience in building trusting and collaborative relationships with children and families.
During my education I have learned effective teaching practices and how to connect to children’s funds of knowledge. This was one of the most important topic to learn about to be able to practice creating an engaging and positive learning environment in a diverse classroom.
