Samuel Smith

I’m an Electrical Engineering student at the University of Alabama at Birmingham graduating in Fall 2026 with a strong interest in hardware systems and practical engineering applications. I enjoy solving technical problems, working with circuits, and developing programming solutions that bridge software and hardware. I am currently working on a neuro-engineering design project, applying engineering principles to analyze and develop solutions at the intersection of electronics and neuroscience.

Through leadership roles, competitive athletics, and customer-facing work experience, I’ve developed strong communication, teamwork, and leadership skills. Whether I’m coordinating a team, making quick decisions under pressure, or tackling a technical challenge, I bring focus, reliability, and a strong work ethic to everything I do.

Managed high-volume customer transactions using POS systems, coordinated food expo operations to ensure accurate and timely order delivery, and maintained strong communication within a fast-paced team environment.

Soccer Referee, Alabama Game Officials (February 2020 – 2023)

Officiated competitive youth, MLS Next, and adult league matches. Enforced rules, managed conflict resolution, and demonstrated leadership and decision-making under pressure.
