I am currently a second year Computer Science Major here at California Polytechnic State University. During the summer I interned with J.S. Held’s accident reconstruction branch where I led a recently published research paper and worked on solving problems for legal cases. This year to stay involved with the school I decided to become a WOW leader which involved leading a group of students for a week and planning events with the school and local companies. Additionally, I am a Cal Poly representative for Colorado which involves communicating with potential students, answering questions and talk about my experience at Cal Poly as a computer science major. During my free time I enjoy going on hikes, surfing, reading and cooking.
My last job/internship was with J.S. Held in which I worked with the accident reconstruction branch. During my time there I managed and worked on a research paper about 3D scanners that is being published to SAE. Assisted in the research, recruitment, and planning involved in hiring new employees and company acquisitions. Aided in team projects and discussions, while using previous coursework to help contribute. Before that I was an Aquatics Supervisor and Swim Instructor for Lifetime where my responsibilities alternated between managing the pool deck staff, facilitating the transfer of programs throughout the day, and responding to situations instinctually based on training. I maintained a safe and secure pool environment, ensured safety protocols were utilized when necessary, and kept constant alertness toward the observation of pool members despite constant distractions. Additionally, I taught and planned lessons for people from ages 2 to 50.

This year my coursework has significantly ramped up and is beginning to dive deeper into more advanced computer science topics. I have learned about object oriented design, computer organization, java, python, assembly, and C. Next semester I will be learning about discrete structures, systems programming and computer architecture.
