Book trading application that allows users to trade books with other individuals in their local community

• Integrated Firebase authentication & Google Maps API for a smooth login and registration process for the user
• Created a search function that would connect to the Google Books API to provide current, up-to-date data
• Implemented a reusable pop up modal that the user would use to easily and intuitively initiate trades

Created and scaled a responsive and efficient back-end routing server on AWS to support eCommerce traffic

• Balanced the data processing between DB & server to ensure swift server response (max: 140ms, min: 7ms)
• Deployed and optimized two t2.micros EC2 instances to handle high data throughput (max: 6k RPS @ 60ms)
• Increased server data throughput 3x by implementing an additional layer of server side caching to reduce load on database while maintaining a high rate of data validity on response

• Cooperated closely with department teachers to design and implement lesson while meeting budget constraints

• Mastered the inner workings of data, network, and internet infrastructure through wireless (cellular) networks
• Managed collection and processing of hundreds of TBs of data from users all across the West Coast
