Segen Kidane

Hello! My name is Segen Kidane. I am a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) and am also certified in BLS and First Aid. I have experience in hospital and clinical environments through shadowing and research, which have strengthened my interest in medicine and helped me develop strong communication, professionalism, and observational skills in healthcare settings.

I am very interested in gaining hands-on patient care experience while contributing to the team at Heart Hospital of Austin. I am highly motivated, eager to learn, and willing to complete any additional training necessary. • Managed fruit fly populations for phenotype plasticity studies, including genotyping, trait selection, and sex identification using CO₂ equipment.
