I have three years of experience as an electrical designer where I was the lead designer for two projects. One was a global semiconductor company where the scope of the project was to upgrade two chillers and I was to provide the appropriate electrical upgrades to their existing systems to support the new mechanical equipment. The other project was a state government building, where the scope was to upgrade several electrical equipment that included switchboards, transformers, and panelboards.

I evaluated existing conditions and developed solutions as the electrical rooms were not up to code per the NEC. I developed cost estimates for the clients to get a rough cost of the new equipment installations.

I was a team member on several other projects that included designing new construction buildings for a federal aircraft maintenance hangar and a steam & chiller water plant. My participation included designing the light fixture layouts and producing lighting calculations to meet UFC standards. I designed conduit infrastructure plans to support electrical wiring, receptacle layouts, and grounding and lightning protection systems.

I was a team member on smaller projects that involved an arc-flash study of eleven buildings on campus. We surveyed, developed cost estimates, and designed arc-flash labels for their existing electrical equipment. I also participated in a local hospital electrical and lighting assessment, where we conducted a light survey of 23 operating rooms and associated corridors during normal and emergency conditions to meet NFPA code.
