Sharice has had a passion for serving others in areas of science and education since she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Johnson C.
University in Charlotte, NC.
Lloyd is currently a science educator with Wake County Public Schools at East Cary Magnet Middle School. She previously worked as a middle and Pre-K educator in Winston-Salem, Raleigh, and West Pine, NC after receiving her license to teach with a Master of Art in Teaching degree, which she earned at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Sharice graduated from Duke Divinity School May 2019 with a Master of Divinity degree and Theology, Medicine, and Culture certificate which allowed her to work both locally and internationally specifically in areas of women and adolescent health.
She has led various projects such as the Trauma of Poverty, which highlighted the changes that gentrification has brought forth to the homeless and home insecure population of Durham, and the Bethany Miracle Pad Project which has helped women to learn the craft of sewing reusable sanitary pads for adolescent girls in Uganda, Africa and while also serving as their health educator. As a lifelong learner, she hopes to inspire the youth to be curious and courageous with science exploration.

Currently serving as a science educator at East Cary Magnet Middle School while also being a Energy Literacy Fellow and a part of the Teacher Advisory Committee.
