Hi, I’m Shumarah! I’m a Health Science student at the University of South Florida with concentrations in Healthcare Administration and Biological Sciences. I’m passionate about helping others, especially individuals with disabilities, and I’m working toward a future in healthcare where I can make a meaningful impact behind the scenes.
I’ve gained hands-on experience through Easterseals Florida and programs like Medi-Futures, where I supported students in educational and community-based settings. I believe in creating safe, inclusive environments where everyone can grow and succeed. I’m also preparing for my CMAA certification to strengthen my skills in healthcare administration.
Outside of school and work, I love running and spending quiet time at the beach; those are my ways to recharge and reflect. I’m always looking to learn, grow, and support others along the way.
I have hands-on experience supporting individuals with disabilities in both educational and community settings.
Florida, I assisted with lesson plans, supervised student behavior using positive supports, and maintained accurate progress records. Through the Medi-Futures Program at the University of South Florida, I gained exposure to healthcare operations and interdisciplinary teamwork. My experience has strengthened my communication skills, adaptability, and passion for inclusive, student-centered care.
Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Health Science at the University of South Florida with concentrations in Healthcare Administration and Biological Sciences. My coursework focuses on healthcare systems, leadership, and patient-centered practices—building a strong foundation for roles in healthcare support, education, and administration.
