As a Scrum Master, my goal is to create an environment where the team can focus on delivering value without unnecessary blockers.
On a regular basis, I collaborate with the product owner to create the product backlog, do the Sprint planning with the scrum team, create the sprint backlog as per the product backlog.
Once the the sprint starts I facilitate the daily stand ups, remove any impediments as quickly as possible, be it with the development team or a cross functional team or getting a feedback or input from stakeholders.
At the end of the sprint, run the review and retrospect for the particular sprint.
I also track the progress and monitor the health of the team
Outside the ceremonies I stay engaged with regular one-on-ones, collaborating with the product owner, coach team members on agile best practices, foster open communication and encourage continuous improvement.
Lastly I would like to mention that my role is to empower the team without micromanaging and make sure they have everything they need to succeed in delivering the project on time.
