As a behavioral health technician at a christian treatment facility I have been able to learn conflict resolution, empathy and love for those that are broken by any bondage holding them back in life. I found my passion in helping people and my love of God and found my calling while working here. That is the calling to go to School and Hopefully being involved in ministry of some sort. I have been able to craft my listening skills and verbal communication with those in need and take what I have learned from school and scripture and implement them in this environment. I have also preached here many times and have held bible studies and have been labeled a spiritual mentor to those that would accept me as such.
While being a roofer I was mentored by my Uncle Mike and learned the meaning of working hard for your family and the importance of work in general. How to be a man and whether he realised it or not played a very important role in my spiritual walk.
In this school I have learned many things. I have learned the history of christianity and the church, theology, apologetics and more. It definitely gave me confidence in knowing how to go about spreading the good news of the gospel. I learned how to help people grieve, addicts, kids, and how to construct a sermon as well as preparing a sermon. I now know how to preach to different audiences for example. But what I liked the most was the History of the church and the Bible.
I Preach we sing Hymns, Pray, and through this I have fell in love again with a different demographic of people. My Pastoral mentor whom I have preached for at his church and at my job and other retirement homes, said he did not have time for it anymore and asked me to step in and I love every minute of it. It has help me practice the craft of preaching the gospel. All the glory goes to God. I also had a sober spirit ministry podcast
I did on facebook live where we would discuss sobriety and Jesus, but I ended up deleting my facebook for the time being. I myself have been sober and clean for 5 years by the grace and mercy of God and I just want to spread the good news to everyone and get a chance to help those that need Jesus in there life whether they accept Him or not.
