My early career started with Alzheimers patients on a locked unit. I learned a lot of skills identifying what people are unable to tell you because of their disease process. I went on to be a Medical Surgical nurse and from this gained my first exposure to the surgical patient. I went on to develop my skills from ICU night charge and trauma care working in an Emergency Room setting. I then fell into PACU nursing and enjoy the patient contact and teaching aspect to my PACU nursing career.
