I am currently an Active Duty Nurse at Travis AFB, working as a PACU nurse. Looking for a PRN job.
Currently have over three years of nursing experience. I started my nursing career as a Medical Surgical Nurse in a Medical Oncology Unit at Alaska Native Medical Center. Our patient ratio was 1:5, and we needed an understanding of the Alaska Native Culture. Cared for a wide range of patients, including alcohol/drug withdrawal, oncology, orthopedics, respiratory issues, cardiac etc.
Skills including critical thinking management of chest drainage system, ostomy care, Alaris pump, cardiac monitor, tube feedings, peripheral IV/PICC line, trach care, pain management, and foleys. Monitor IV infusion, including fluids, blood replacement, TPN, antibiotics, heparin, and PCA pumps.
I am currently Active-Duty at David Grant Medical Center as a PACU nurse. Manages post-operative critical nursing care in a 21-bed Surgery Center. Monitors and provides care to patients post-anesthesia for various services, including Neurosurgery, OMFS, Plastic Surgery, General Surgery and etc.
