- Provide general support for test area maintenance and test bay operations including the operations of the following equipment: Electrodynamics vibration exciters, vibration slip tables, free fall drop and accelerated fall shock test equipment.
- Experienced in the operation maintenance and repair of hydraulic vibration exciter systems, which include the rebuilding of hydraulic servo-control valves and hydraulic power supplies.
- Responsible for all aspects of dynamic testing including initial pretest preparations, test setups, and post-test deactivation.
- Assist other technicians in the performance of complex tasks. Responsible for the safe handling, transport and storage of hazardous explosive materials in support of testing activities.
- Other duties include handling, transporting, and mounting explosive test items to dynamic test equipment. Installation of instrumentation such as accelerometers, thermocouples, and special equipment such as temperature conditioning equipment.
- These efforts are in support of vibration, shock and impact test at Test Area 2. These research and development test programs are conducted on weapons systems such as Hellfire, MLRS, Javelin, ATACMS, THAAD, M270, HEMMIT, M113, and longbow.
